Worship forms the people of God. Our engagement in praise, repentance, forgiveness, thanksgiving and proclamation as part of a worshiping community forms and shapes us into a people of love. We believe that worshippers encounter God through spoken words, visible symbols, enacted signs and - music!

Adult Music Ministries

Covenant Choir

The Covenant Choir sings an anthem and assists in leading hymn singing each Sunday morning during worship. Our mission is to preach the gospel and to spread the good news through music. This group of adults is a blend of experienced and inexperienced singers who rehearse on Wednesdays in the sanctuary at 7:00.  The Covenant Choir prepares a Christmas Cantata each year as well as special music presentations for Easter, Holy Week, Ash Wednesday, Music Appreciation Sunday and more.  This is a non- auditioned choir. 

Handbells

The Handbell Ministry features ensembles for ringers of all ability levels, and we encourage beginning and experienced ringers who are new to our congregation to join in!

 

RingTones is our less experienced handbell ensemble and consists of both youth and adult ringers. This group meets each Tuesday in the sanctuary, September through May, from 6:00 pm-6:45 pm.

 

Joyful Ringers is our more experienced handbell ensemble. This group meets each Tuesday in the sanctuary, September through May, from 7:00 pm -8:00 pm. 

 

Small Groups and Ensembles

Various small groups help to supplement musical offerings throughout the year.  We are always recruiting special music for Sunday morning worship such as vocal solos, instrumental solos and other music ensembles.  Contact a music staff person for more information!

Children and Youth Music Ministries

Children's Choir

The Children’s Choir includes the Cherub Choir, for children ages four through first grade, and the Good News Singers, for children in second to fifth grade. 

The choirs participate in the Children’s Christmas Contata in December and sing and play handbells monthly in the spring. They rehearse each Sunday from 5:30pm-7:00pm.

Boomwackers & Chimes

Children’s instrumental choirs rehearse in conjunction with the children’s vocal choirs  each Sunday, January through May, from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm.  We have choirs that meet the needs of all of our young musicians. The Cherub Choir, for children ages four through first grade, enjoys making music with Boomwhackers. The Good News Ringers, is for children in second to fifth grade. This  choir transitions to playing handchimes which is a wonderful segue to playing handbells in middle school. Participants are not required to read music to participate..
