"Welcome one another just as God in jesus christ welcomed you"
It is a real joy for us to meet newcomers and to tell you about all the good things God is doing at Wake Forest UMC. Our mission is to reach out to all in the name of Jesus Christ. That means no matter where you are in your spiritual journey, we want to journey with you and we want you to journey with us as we all seek to follow Jesus and participate with God in changing the world.
What to Expect...
Our WFUMC Christian community embodies the love that God and Jesus Christ give us freely and without reservation. At WFUMC, our church family knows we are all loved no matter our imperfections; no matter our human failings. We share our Christian love freely and you are family from day one.
Visiting on Sunday...
All you need to know before you show up for your first Sunday gathering:
Come as you are. Seriously. Whether you've been to church before or whether you've never set foot in a worship service, we welcome you as Jesus welcomes us all...with open arms. We sing, listen to God's word being read and preached, pray, and receive communion on the first Sunday of the month. Worship services are at 8:30 am and 11:00 am.
You will have an opportunity to provide us with more information about you and your family and get an informational brochure and card from our Welcome Center. Please stop by! Since we know it’s difficult to get the authenticity of a place in one visit, we encourage you to do WORSHIP +2 to experience who we are as a community and what it’s like to be a part of our family. WORSHIP + 2 is simple: Come to worship and then visit us two additional times. Those could be a Sunday School class, another worship service, or a serving opportunity. Then, when you feel like you’d like to take the next steps, fill out a “Next Steps Card” in the informational brochure and turn it in at the Welcome Center counter! We are honored that you are our guest…both here, online, and in person!
WHAT ABOUT OUR KIDS?
Bring them with you! We have a nursery which is available during all worship services and during our Sunday school hour. We also love and think it's important for kids to be in worship. You will often hear the chatter of children and the noise of a
baby or two. We love that. Plus, kids glean more from worship than we will ever know. We have some baskets to keep them entertained. Look for them near the entrances.
We do have nursery, children's Sunday School, Kid's Kingdom and Club 4-5 which are all exciting ways kids can plug in!
