Wake Forest United Methodist Church is a Christian family in every sence of the word. We are truly a lovng and inclusive church where Christ and his teachings are the focus. Jesus Loves You. He loved you so much that he was willing to sacrifice his life so that you will know salvation. At WFUMC we celebrate his life and his teachings through his ministry.  Yes…His ministry, because we are merely the stewards of the good news. We are his hands in this world. Through his ministry the good news is spreading, families are spiritually nurtured, the word of God is spoken, and children and people everywhere know that Jesus loves them. At WFUMC you will find a christian community that will embrace you and your family and welcome you in the warm and loving arms of Christian fellowship.

The roots of our church go back to 1829 when members of the local Methodist Society constructed a building called the Hartsfield Meeting House in Rolesville. In 1859 a new church was built in Rolesville and called the Rolesville Methodist Church. In 1936 with the local population shifting to Wake Forest the church moved to its current location and a new building was built with 67 members on the original charter. In the early years the church grew slowly. The parsonage was built in 1957, and renovations to the church were completed in 1970, 1973 and 1986. In 1999 with our membership beginning to grow rapidly we built our new sanctuary. In 2011 with continued growth we completed the addition of a Family Life Center on our campus. Today our membership continues to grow.

As a Christian community your church is responsible for helping you balance your life with spiritual well being. If you are a parent you endeavor to raise your children in the Christian faith by participating in the church, its activities and it's ministries. You must think of your Christian faith and how the ministry of your church teaches you that God loves you all the days of your life. At WFUMC we believe that Jesus Loves Us and ministers to us daily.
