From Louis & Joan Freeman

Joy, Joy, Joy - Our first grandchild arrived Saturday Morning @ 3:33 at Wake Med! His name is Marshall William Johnson. He was 4 lbs & 10 oz and was 18" long so he is a small baby. His father, Ryan, who is in Iraq called Amanda about 10 minutes after the birth and she was able to tell him of Marshall's arrival instead of the Red Cross.

We were not expecting Marshall to be so small but he has no physical problems.

Here come the concerns. Because of the low birth weight he is having a slight problem with regulating his blood sugar. This problem is not life threatening but is keeping him in the NICU. He is also jaundice. Amanda, our daughter, was sent home from the hospital last night and will be spending all day in the NICU and gong home at night. She currently is not able to drive, doctor's orders, so everyone is chipping in with transportation. Amanda has also broken out in a rash basically all over her body being allergic to the hospital sheets. This is bothering her more than anything since it is very itchy.

Please share our Joy in the arrival of Marshall and pray for his and Amanda's speedy rebound.

God is so good!
