Mission Possible

Mission Possible is our Sunday Night Children's Program and meets from 6:00PM-7:30PM. Each evening we have a lesson, a craft, and play a game. It runs from January 20th through May 4th.

Mission Possible is a 39-week curriculum that we have condensed to fit the needs of our children Kindergarten through 5th grade. At the beginning of the school year for 2007 we discussed how Christians in other countries worship and celebrate religiously and as a culture. It was great for the children to learn about the cultures of other Christians and their struggles. The children who participated in Mission Possible also helped with our mission, The Heifer Project. Each week they collected loose change in order to purchase live stock for the purposes of trade and for the use of their by-products. This mission was a HUGE success. The United Methodist Men responded to our children's desire to help others by donating enough money to purchase two Heifers.

We are kicking off 2008 and we are certain the success of the program will continue.
We are still continuing with our mission, The Heifer Project, but we are also collecting non-perishable food to give to our community.

The focus of our studies has changed slightly. We are now learning about other religions. The children will learn some similarities as well as differences between Christianity and other religions. They will learn to be respectful of different customs and celebrations but they will also learn more about our own religion and how it compares to others. This information will be presented in an appropriate manner for your children.

Even though each week does build on the previous week, children may still join Mission Possible at any time.
We welcome every child to come and learn with us.
